International pilot project records, 1988-1991 (inclusive).

Contains records of Nancy Stephenson Pyle, Associate Director of the Harvard Institute for International Development (HIID), as coordinator of the International Pilot Project in the President's Office. The Project attempted to increase the number of foreign student applications to Harvard by heightening awareness of Harvard overseas and by increasing financial support from international alumni. Includes correspondence, reports, and admissions and financial aid need lists. There are three parts to the records. The first concerns countries contacted during the project, the second covers the various Harvard Schools involved in the Project, and the third is a set of miscellaneous records including housing surveys, research of other universities, and annual reports of various Harvard committees and departments.
